 MOMENTUM AND IMPULSE
Momentum and Impulse in the discussion of physics as a whole is due to momentum and impulse two magnitudes are equal. Two magnitudes as similar as when the momentum and impulse has units International System (SI) is the same or even the same dimensions as discussed in the magnitude dansatuan. Posting a little will discuss about the definition of momentum and impulse.

Understanding Momentum
Momentum is the product of mass and velocity. Mathematically it can be written as follows
  P = m.v
Information
• P = momentum (kg.m / s)
• M = mass (kg)
• V = velocity (m / s)

So momentum is a quantity that is owned by an object or a moving particle.

Example
A 5-ton bus mass moving with constant velocity of 10 m / s. How much momentum that owned the bus?
Completion:
By using the equation above, we get the momentum bus for P = mv
P = 5000 kg x 20 m / s
P = 100000 kg m / s
(Note 1 ton = 1000 kg)

Definition Impulse
Impulse is the event of force acting on the object in just a moment. Or Impulse is event-style operation in a very short time. Examples of event impulses is: an event like a ball was kicked, hit a tennis ball because when kicks and punches, a style that worked very short.
  I = F.Δt
Information
• I = impulse
• F = force (N)
Δt = time interval (s)
Example:
A ball hit with a 50 Newton force with a time of 0.01 second. How much Impus on the ball?
Completion
By using the above equation
I = F.
Δt
I = 50 N. 0.01 s
I = 0.5 Ns

Impulse with change of momentum
A particle of mass m work force F is constant, then after a time
Δt the particle moves with the speed
Vt = V0 + a
Δt as already discussed in the post uniformly accelerated motion (motion of uniformly accelerated)
According to the second law of Newton:
  F = m.a,
With the substitution of both equations is obtained
 I = F.
Δt = MVT - mv0
Information
• MVT = mementum object at speed vt
• mv0 = mementum object at speed v0
Example question
A soccer ball of mass 200 g rolls eastward with a speed of 2 m / s. Kicked in 0.1 second. So the speed is 8 m / s in the same direction. Determine the force applied to the ball kicker legs!

This problem can be solved by the concept of impulse = change in momentum
